The movement of the migrants over the last few days has produced (Top) juvenille Whinchat

and (left) Stonechat.

Ugly at the moment but they will soon be gleeming white like the parents.

As i walked back along the beach, the peewit call of the lapwing could be heard, once located i slowly approached to take some pictures.

Bird Table

Decided to stop for a pimms & lemonade at the Dog & pheasent, East Mersea and this Robin joined me at the table.

This wonderful barn owl was quietly quartering the local wood during daylight, which hopefully means that there are young to be feed.

April 20th saw the return of the whitethroat on my patch, as always a misty morning brought in some migrants for summer.

Return of the Wheatear.

Found a returning wheatear on the beach.
