Ploughing throw the gulls.

Spent some time watching a large group of gulls following a tractor as it ploughed one of my local fields. And was soon rewarded with 4 mediterrean gulls, one had rings on its legs and the history of this bird, is in the comment section for you to read.

  1. Well done Richard! Med Gull with yellow 2A10 was ringed by me (well actually by a trainee) as a chick in Hamford Water on 08/06/05. This is the first sighting I’ve received of this bird so delighted to know it’s still alive! Do please let me know if you see it again and could you confirm whether Maydays Farm or Maydays Marsh so I can enter the recovery details as accurately as possible. Interestingly, Martin Cock saw one of my colour-ringed Med Gulls on Mersea a few years ago.
